Trip Down Under

We are wrapping up our trip to Sydney today. Our US work visas are renewed and we even got Harper an Aussie passport. The flooding and cyclone in Fiji meant that the RnR on the way home was cancelled so we decided to stay here and attempt to disconnect from the office. It is hard to beat a deserted island in Fiji but we did manage to get some fun things done.

The kids got in a surf or two…

And to wrap up, last night Kim and I got last minute tickets to see La Traviata with a difference. The Opera House was not the venue but the backdrop as the production was set on (yes, on) Sydney Harbour. It was absolutely spectacular. The 9-metre chandelier sparkling with Swarovski Elements crystals suspended above a purpose-built, shimmering stage on the harbour was the centrepiece .The photos don't do it justice. It was a great way to finish up our trip.

Some views of the show…
